We (the three kids) met the Kurths when Nana took us to New Hampshire for vacation one summer. I think I was around 10 or 11. They were much older than this picture then. I'd guess in their 80's. I remember they were very nice. I probably wouldn't have included this picture on the basis of that meeting alone, but I just love this photograph.
