We took a walk along the bay and there was wildlife everywhere. There are always plenty of sea lions in the harbor but I didn't remember such a large contingent of pelicans in the past. I have always loved watching sea otters and the last few times we'd been down to Carmel we hadn't seen any. This time I told Marion we weren't leaving until we saw one and we weren't 10 minutes into our walk before this one appeared. And then a second one. They were really close in and put on a show for a long time. In fact we left before they did. They were back again the next morning as well.
