The only drawback to coming to Yosemite in October is the waterfalls are dried up or just about dry. But it means it's not so crowded. We managed to show up on Columbus Day weekend so it was a bit more crowded than it might have been. But nothing like the summer. I've only been to Yosemite twice and both times in October. I've never seen this waterfall when it was any larger than this.
