We ended up north of Mono Lake in a little town called Bridgeport where we stayed at the "historic" Bridgeport Motel. It really should have been called pre-historic because it was very cave-like (plus one of the lamps was burned out) and had no hot water or heat. We woke up around 5:30 and decided to just get the heck out of there. Marion suggested we drive back down to Mono Lake for the sunrise. Good call! It was absolutely amazing. Cold, but amazing.
